Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired Word of God. It is infallible, the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct, sufficient and God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We believe in one true and living Godwho is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Godhead has distinct individual attributes, but without division of essence, character, nature, or being (1 Timothy 3:16, Colossians 2:9).

We believe there is only one merciful and just God. He is the creator of all things who preserves and rules over all creation (Genesis 1:1).

We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God and His virgin birth. He is fully God and fully man and was without sin. He died on the cross and rose from the dead to pay the penalty for our sins and purchased a place in heaven for us (Isaiah 53:6).

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person sent by the Father through the Son. He indwells and empowers believers for godly service, for worship, and for witness in order to make them more like Christ (1 Corinthians 12:7).

We believe man is created and made in the imagine and likeness of God. The fall of Adam and Eve resulted in the condemnation of all mankind. As a result all mankind is born with an inherited sinful nature that separates us form God (Romans 3:23).

We believe salvation is a free gift from God to man (Romans 6:23) received by faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ and repentance of our sin (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We believe God created humanity, male and female, reflecting the image and likeness of God. Each person’s biological sex has been sovereignly appointed by God and is an irreversible aspect of his or her nature. Adam, the first human, sinned and thereby incurred the judgment of both physical death and spiritual death which is eternal separation from God. Therefore, all human beings, with the exception of Christ Jesus, are born with a fallen nature, are accountable for their sin, and the need to be born again. Rejection of one’s God-ordained biological sexuality reflects a rejection of God’s plans and purposes. God has established and revealed in Scripture a divine order to regulate humanity. Human institutions reflecting that order are marriage of a man and a woman, family, and human government. (Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; Psalm 51:5; Jeremiah 17:9; John 3:3-7; Romans 1:21-32; 3:10-12; 5:21; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Ephesians 2:1-10; 1 John 1:8-10; Genesis 2:18-25; Colossians 3:18-21; Romans 13:1-7)
